Some cleaning products can be harsh on our homes, bodies and, our environment. They can release dangerous chemicals contribute to health problems, including chronic respiratory issues, allergic reactions, and headaches. Hazardous cleaning products can also harm our local waterways if they are disposed of improperly. When these materials are dumped down the drain or thrown in the trash, they can seep into the soil and contaminate groundwater supplies. This contaminated water can then make its way into rivers, streams, and canals, causing serious harm to our environment and aquatic wildlife. Making your own cleaning spray can help to prevent the harmful effects of products commonly found in stores, and you probably have everything you need right at home!

Vinegar is an eco-friendly, safe, inexpensive and effective cleaner. Its acidity is a natural disinfectant, killing bacteria and breaking down grime and dirt. Since white vinegar is clear, it won’t stain surfaces, carpets or other fabrics. It also helps to remove odors.
